Starbucks Bloom Cards

12 Feb

Good morning everyone, hope you are having a good weekend. This morning I received a lovely gift in the mail. This was something that I have never seen before in a Starbucks store (at least not in Europe, this item came from California). The item is simply called “bloom” cards, “30 uplifting and encouraging ideas designed to feed smiles, hope and greenness.” These are fun little collectibles that are somewhat like fortune cookies, only form Starbucks. Id like to take this opportunity to thank R.Proctor for sending this item to me purely out of niceness.

When opening the box you can see a stack of 30 cards with a pop out window to reveal an ‘idea designed to feed smiles.’ On the back of each card is written 2009 Starbucks Coffee Company and these cards are printed using soy inks. The first card I popped open said simply “Every day is a chance to inspire, act and succeed.” What a wonderful statement that sounds like it comes right from Howard himself. The pictures of what seem like poppies look hand painted and personal. Some other great ideas in here included: “Your potential is everyone’s hope”, “Your mind is a gift you can open again and again.” This is just a small gift that I wanted to share with everyone, I hope these cards can help ‘feed your smiles’ in the coming days of spring.

Those are pretty cute. I’m always intrigued by the novel things that Starbucks sells as merchandise.
